Classes & Workshops
This class blends two styles of yoga into one practice to help bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. By combining Gentle Flow (Yang) & Yin Yoga, students enhance awareness, strength, and flexibility while cultivating inner peace in this class.
You will begin by starting to work with the body in a slower paced, gentle, and flowing sequence of standing postures to help stretch and strengthen the muscles.
In the second half of class, you will dive deeper into the mind and spirit by moving to the floor for yin yoga poses.
Slow down, unwind, and stretch while diving deeper into the mind/body connection by moving through floor poses, and holding for a longer duration (1-5 minutes) to work with the connective tissue of the body and allowing the muscles to completely rest. This works deeply into the tendons, ligaments, fascia, joints, and bone, with the aim to increase circulation, improve/maintain flexibility and mobility, improve bone health, calm and balance the body and mind, encourage deeper relaxation, and reduce chronic pain, stress, and anxiety.

This is a restful and receptive practice that is all about slowing down and allowing your body, mind, and spirit to enter into a place of total relaxation, release, and healing. Working deep into the body, and through a series of 5-7 poses, you’ll use props, gravity, breath, and longer holds in the poses to relieve and undo patterns of tension and stress, improve flexibility, reduce chronic pain, calm your nervous system, improve sleep quality, transition to meditation, and much more...optional reiki/Thai yoga massage and essential oils offered throughout class.
Most yoga classes are about turning inward to cultivate inner awareness, depth, and peace. That is a meaningful practice, but if that is all we practice, then we shortchange ourselves on the exciting and spiritual dimension of our connectedness to others. Partner practice presents new challenges and feelings to explore. It gives yogis the opportunity to hone a completely new set of skills, including the ability to trust and allow oneself to be vulnerable.
When we add a partner to the mix, there is a completely new dimension. Suddenly our mind and body must coordinate with those of another. There are new challenges, new feelings, new awareness, new depths, and a different set of physical and mental skills to hone. It can also be a whole lot of fun and can feel really good.

This playful practices has one yogi as a base, another as a flyer, and in most cases a third yogi as a spotter. The team builds skills and trust while moving through simple flows that balance the flyer above the base. All classes are beginner friendly; no prior experience is required.
